about
Come On Live Long have spent the autumn and winter months working away on the followup to their critically acclaimed debut album 'Everything Fall' released in 2013. Trough is the first new offering from the band to break the ice in the lead up to more releases this coming year. Trough is an individual piece. Initially intended to be an interlude on the next album, it grew organically into something larger as the band invited guest musicians and friends to contribute to the piece. Somewhat of an experimental project, COLL gradually added to the soundscape using their own mini orchestra of sounds combining home recorded pianos, vocals, cello, violin, horns, accordion and a pedal organ found in a church on Achill. Trough is not necessarily an indicator of the type of material COLL have up their sleeve for 2015, but an honest and heartfelt project that the band simply couldn't wait to share.
